This family run business was founded in 1996, by Margie and Warwick Spowart. In 2002 our late daughter Sarah joined in our epic journey and how many laughs and tears we have shared. Sarah spent 9 seasons working in various cellars in the Cape making wines and this experience has been shared with the rest of us and enriched our wine knowledge. Her Husband David joined her for a few seasons and remains a loved part of the family and business. Together we have grown grapes, made wine, brandy and rum and shared as much of what we know with anyone who wants to hear it.

The Wine Cellar is now believed to boasts one of the largest selections of wine in KZN.

We all share passion for the wine trade, always striving to learn more and we pride ourselves in our knowledge and personal service. We take finding wine treasures for you very seriously.

We do not have a wine list, as the Cape is our Wine List and our stock is constantly changing. We are able to source almost any wine you may require, so if we don’t have it don’t hesitate to ask.
